Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center Annual Field Day

Virginia Tech's Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center will hold its 22nd annual field day on Wednesday, September 24th at its facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
This annual event highlights current and continuing research and demonstrations relating to the nursery, landscape and turf management, and urban tree care industries. The field day runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration costs $12 which includes a locally-catered BBQ lunch.
The following activities are planned for this year:
10:00 - 11:00 | 7th Annual MAC-ISA tree care demonstration - hazard tree evaluation |
11:00 - Noon | NEW demonstrations of nursery/landscape equipment and techniques |
Noon - 1:30 | BBQ lunch and visit trade show and educational exhibits |
1:30 - 3:30 | Tour of research and demonstration projects |
10:00 - 4:00 | NEW silent auction of plants and hard goods; NEW insect ID clinic |
The morning demonstrations and afternoon field tours have been approved by the International Society of Arboriculture and the Virginia Nurserymen's Association for recertification credits, as well as recertification credits for people who have earned the Professional Horticulture Conference of Virginia's Crew Chief certificate.
