The Virginia Horse Council, Virginia Horse Board, Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension, Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center are repeating the successful seminar series Equine Science 2002. Topics this year include: Safe Facilities, Fencing and Barns, Training, Disease Updates on the New Threats to Horse Health, Trail Development and Land Conservation - Where Will We Ride Tomorrow?, Nutrition, Liability: What You Must Know to Protect Yourself, Lameness Diagnosis - The New Technologies, and Show and Market Trends for the Future. These are some of the topics to look forward to. Seminar fees will be $25 per person and includes lunch. Watch for brochures at your local Extension Offices. For more information, call 540/231-5252 or your local Extension Office. For Vendor information contact Brenda Finley at 804/330-0345.
