Livestock Update, January 2007

Beef Producers University (BPU) is an educational program intended for experienced beef producers. Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences developed BPU to give producers intensive training on current practices and science of beef production. This year’s program will focus on professional heifer development. BPU will be held twice this year at two different locations in an attempt to reach more producers. The first location for BPU will be held in Wytheville, Virginia on February 7, 2007. The second location for BPU will be in Charlottesville, Virginia on February 8, 2007. Registration is $30 and will include all of the sessions, breaks, supper and meeting materials. The program will begin at 2 pm with registration beginning at 1:30 pm. The registration deadline is January 24, 2007.
