Staunton & Blackstone BCIA Bull and Heifer Sales Scheduled

The Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association sponsors two combination performance tested bull and commercial heifer sales which will be held in early December.

The 11th Annual All Breed Performance Tested Bull and Commercial Replacement Heifer Sale will be held on Monday, December 2 at 6:30pm at the Southside Livestock Market at Blackstone, Virginia. Plans are to sell 40 service age performance tested bulls of several breeds and 100 spring calving bred and open commercial heifers.

The 22nd Annual Virginia Breeders All Breed Performance Tested Bull and Commercial Replacement Heifer Sale will be held the following Saturday, December 7 at 12:00 Noon at the Augusta Expoland facility near Staunton. Plans are to sell some 65 service age performance tested of several breeds and 100 spring calving commercial bred heifers.

The sale manager for both of these sales is Jim Johnson, Virginia Cattlemen's Association, P O Box 176, Daleville, VA, 24083, 540/992-1009. Consignments of bulls and or heifers for these two sales must be to the sale manger by no later than October 1, 1996.
