Culpeper BCIA Bulls Sell April 4

The 39th Annual Culpeper BCIA Performance Tested Bull Sale will be held Friday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises at Culpeper, Virginia. The sale will contain 84 bulls which represents the top two-thirds of the 125 bulls gain tested at the Culpeper Central Bull Test Station operated at Glenmary Farm at nearby Rapidan, Virginia. Included will be 55 Angus, 18 Polled Hereford, 3 Charolais, 3 Simmental, 3 Gelbvieh and 2 Salers bulls. Each will have a complete performance record including birth weight, weaning weight, maternal milk, test gain, adjusted yearling weight, frame score, scrotal circumference and ultrasonically measured carcass traits. Also, expected progeny difference data for the major traits of economic importance are available to use as a selection criteria.

The Culpeper Central Bull Test Station and Sale is sponsored by Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association headquartered at Blacksburg, Virginia. The 58 breeders who are consignors of these bulls are all members of the Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association.
