The following beef cattle breed associations set the rules and guidelines for ancestry, performance testing, bloodtyping and DNA requirements, AI use, plus provide funds for pertinent research. They also sponsor shows and sales, not only of purebred seedstock, but feeder calves and branded beef. These associations are the biggest supporters of NCBA (National Cattlemen's Beef Association) and BIF (Beef Improvement Federation). The alphabetical listing is as follows:
