Exhibitors may enter any number of heifers that meet the rules below.

  1. Heifers may arrive at the fairgrounds all morning on Saturday, May 2, 1998.
  2. Show is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 2nd.
  3. All Heifers must be born on or after June 1, 1996, and owned by and in the care of the exhibitor by January 1, 1998.
  4. Exhibitors must have their 9th birthday by September 30, 1998 and not have had their 19th birthday before January 1, 1998.
  5. Classes will be determined after all entries are received, and will be established by age of the heifer.
  6. Heifers will be shown dry. No artificial substances may be applied to the hair. No butt fans will be allowed.
  7. Other Registered Heifers are breeds other than Angus, Simmental, Hereford, and Shorthorn. Heifer must be owned, in care of, and registration transferred to the name of the exhibitor by January 1, 1998.
  8. Commercial Replacement Heifers are less than 2 blood, unregistered, grade, or crossbreds.
  9. An entry fee of $3.00 per heifer must accompany your entry.
  10. Please make check payable to Virginia 4-H Foundation. Entry deadline - April 15, 1998.
  11. Awards: Grand and Reserve Champion in each show will receive plaques. All contestants will receive ribbons.
