Steers will be judged as market steer prospects destined to be finished for summer/fall shows. They will NOT be judged as market-ready steers.

Steers may arrive at the fairgrounds beginning Saturday morning, May 2, 1998. Steers must be in place by 8:00 am on Sunday, May 3, 1998.

Show is scheduled for 10:00 am on Sunday, May 3, 1998.

Exhibitors must be Virginia residents who have their 9th birthday by September 30, 1998 and not have had their 19th birthday before January 1, 1998.

All steers must be born on or after October 1, 1996, and owned by and in the care of the exhibitor by April 15, 1998.

Classes will be determined by hip height.

Steers will be shown dry. No artificial substances may be applied to the hair. No butt fans will be allowed.

An entry fee of $3.00 per steer must accompany your entry.

A maximum of 2 steers may be entered by each exhibitor.

Please make check payable to Virginia 4-H Foundation. Entry deadline - April 15, 1998.

Awards: Plaques for class winners and Grand and Reserve Champion overall Ribbons for all placings in all classes.
