Stocker Cattle Workshops
Livestock Update, January 1999
Bill McKinnon, Extension Animal Scientist, Marketing, Animal and Poultry Sciences, Virginia Tech
Four stocker cattle workshops will be conducted to discuss the needs and issues facing the stocker cattle operator. The four meetings will follow similar format and be held in Monterey, Verona, Abingdon, and Wytheville. The programs will begin in the late afternoon, include supper and adjourn at 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. A general outline for the Monterey and Verona programs is listed below.

Registration costs for each program will be $10, which will cover the cost of supper and handout materials. Stocker cattle operators wishing to attend should contact their local Extension office or the appropriate agent listed below.
