Virginia's state 4-H Horse Show is one
of the largest in the country. Each year over 500 4-H members
participate in a variety of disciplines from driving and reining
to hunter and jumper classes.
Participants must qualify at a district
show to be eligible for the state show. All participants must
submit an up-to-date Virginia 4-H Horse Project Horse Management
Record Book. They are also judged on stable management, which
includes cleanliness of the stall. Ribbons and trophies are
presented as awards.
